Simple Church: Unity Within Diversity—by @EricCarpenter70, @ChuckMcKnight & others

Simple Church: Unity Within Diversity

Simple Church: Unity Within Diversity

As the curator of Christian Books Free, I (Chuck) don’t often share my personal recommendations on this blog. But it’s time for a little shameless plug.

You may have noticed the “Featured Promotion” on the sidebar for a book called Simple Church: Unity Within Diversity. I’m one of the contributors to the book, and I’m just a little excited about it!

The other contributors and I all practice some form of simple church. That is, we seek to strip away many of the traditions that have been added over the years, so we can get to the core of what it means to be the church.

It looks a little different for each of us. And with 24 contributors, we bring a lot of varying theological viewpoints to the table. But we all share a common Savior, a passion for his church, and a desire for unity despite our differences. This book is the result of our joint effort to share what we’re for, rather than what we’re against.

And I’m happy to say that it’s now available!

If you’re interested in hearing diverse perspectives on the church, you’ll want to pick up a copy today. And if you’ve appreciated getting all the free books here, buying this book would be a great way to say thank you! (It would also make a great Christmas gift.)
